There are no candidates running  in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township for Mayor or Council, but County Committee candidates are running in a number of districts as well as a handful of county and congressional races are in today’s Primary Election ballot. Polls are open until 8:00 p.m. this evening.

Representing Parsippany, Republican Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen is opposed by Rick Van Glahn. The 11th District incumbent is seeking his 11th consecutive two-year term in the House of Representatives.

At the county level, Surrogate John Pecoraro is running unopposed, seeking his fifth consecutive term.

Freeholder and Montville native, Republican William “Hank” Lyon is also running unopposed. On the Democratic side, Rockaway’s Matthew Davis is running unopposed as well. The two will square off in November’s General Election.

Parsippany has three council seats up in the 2015 general election.
