No parking when roads are snow covered

NOPARKINGWe don’t think anyone is going to try to park in front of this snow bank, but remember there is no parking on streets in the Township of Parsippany Troy Hills when roads are covered with snow.

Parking on roadways within the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills is prohibited when roads are snow covered to allow plows and salt trucks to work efficiently. Vehicles in violation of this ordinance may be ticketed and/or towed.

§ 405-10Temporary parking prohibition for snow plowing and removal.

A. Prohibition.
(1) Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the streets and highways, an emergency shall exist and no vehicle shall be parked on any street or highway or portions thereof.

(2) The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect until after the snow has ceased and the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.

B. Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.
