Lucille “Getchen” Dempsey was named by the Parsippany-Troy Hills school board on Thursday, November 14, as principal of Lake Parsippany Elementary School at an annual salary of $101,000.
Dempsey, assistant principal of Bedwell Elementary School in Bernardsville, resigned effective Friday, January 17, 2014, to accept the offer.
A resident of Bernardsville, Dempsey has served as Bedwell’s assistant principal since September 1, 2012, and was receiving a 2013-14 salary of $87,125. She had been at Bedwell for ten years before assuming the post, having taught the third grade for three years before moving on to math enrichment and support.
