Parsippanyโs American Legion Posts 249, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10184 will hold their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11 (eleventh month, eleventh day, eleventh hour) at Veterans Memorial Park, Parsippany.
Bob Briant, Commander of Post 249, will lead the Ceremony. Guests include Monsignor Tillyer, St. Peter the Apostle Church; Rabbi Shalom Lubin, Congregation Shaya Ahavat Torah; Reverend Susan Sica, St. Gregory’s Church and the Honorable James R. Barberio, Mayor of Parsippany.
The laying of wreaths at the Veterans Monument will also be included. The Color Guards from American Legion Post 249 and V.F.W. Post 10184 will participate. โAmerica the Beautifulโ will be sung by Third Graders of Various Township Public Schools, led by Mr. James Caulfield and โProud to be an Americanโ by Third Graders of All Saints Academy.
โThe Star-Spangled Bannerโ & โGod Bless Americaโ will be sung by Mrs. Michelle Musolino-Roberts. Eileen White of the Daughters of the American Revolution will explain the meaning of Veterans Day.
A cannon salute will be presented by Lambโs Artillery, a Revolutionary War re-enactment group. Taps will be played by Mr. Joseph Stella & Krishna Prajapati, Brooklawn Middle School.
