Officer George Tsimpedes responded to a Park Road residence at 1:32 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9 to investigate a report of a burglary.
The homeowner returned to the residence, after being out for approximately one hour, and noticed the rear sliding glass door ajar at which time police were contacted.
Detectives from the Parsippany Police Department’s Investigative Division responded to the scene and determined that the unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through the rear sliding door with no signs of forced entry.
Once inside, the suspect(s) ransacked the master bedroom where various pieces of jewelry of unknown value were stolen from the residence.
The suspect(s) appeared to have exited through the front door, where proceeds from the burglary were located during the investigation. The Morris County Sherriff’s Department, Criminal Investigative Division, responded to the home to process the scene.
