FirstLight HomeCare, of Parsippany has been opened by local residents Jen and Jim Santosuosso, providing non-medical in-home care for adults. Their office is located at 1280 Route 46 West.
Prior to opening FirstLight, Jim owned two businesses in the area and Jen was a stay at home mom. Jen also has experience with planning events and handling logistics, as she spent two years working at the American Cancer Society.
The couple says they have always wanted to own a business together and will combine their experience and expertise to provide area residents with in-home care solutions, allowing them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
FirstLight HomeCare offers non-medical, in-home care customized for seniors, new mothers, adults with disabilities and those recovering from illness, injury or surgery.
The demand for high-quality in-home care is at an all-time high, with more than 12 percent of Americans over 65 years old and wanting to remain independent for as long as possible.
According to a press release: “FirstLight HomeCare combines best practices of a senior leadership team with more than 80 years of collective senior care experience and innovative approaches.”
“There is a great need for in-home care in this area,” said Jen. “We are looking forward to serving the community and providing those in need with affordable, quality in-home care.”
