Safe stolen while residents on vacation

FAIRFIELDROADOfficer William Stone responded to a Fairfield Road home to investigate a report of a burglary. Upon his arrival, he spoke with the resident who had returned from vacation to find that his safe was missing from the basement of the residence.

The safe contained approximately $3,500.00 in $2.00 bills and $2,500.00 worth of Susan B. Anthony silver dollar coins.

The burglary is believed to have occurred between July 13 and July 19.

There were no signs of forcible entry noted. Detective Edward Conklin is currently conducting the investigation into the incident.
