On Monday, February 4, the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center held it’s First Annual Parsippany Night Out at the Holiday Inn of Parsippany. This event marked the start of an annual event, which will promote non-profits and medical awareness. Over 80 attendees learned about prostate cancer prevention and treatment which was complemented by civic-minded restaurants and beverage vendors from the Parsippany Area. Notable vendors included Anthony Francos, Gourmet Café, Morristown Deli, The Cake Over Bakery, Not Only Cookies, and Coca-Cola. A silent auction featuring a signed hockey puck from the New Jersey Devils and a live DJ provided by SC3 Entertainment rounded out the evenings festivities.
“1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in their lifetime. The key to surviving this deadly form of cancer is early screenings. To encourage early screenings, events such as Parsippany Night Out, extends an opportunity for us to educate the public and drive awareness,” stated Chamber President Robert J. Peluso. He further explained that the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce and the Parsippany Area Visitor Center are organizations that serve not only our businesses, but also our residents and volunteers in the Greater Parsippany Area. Events such as Parsippany Night Out are essential to supporting our Chamber’s diverse service area and to provide a voice in our community. “On behalf of all involved I want to thank the residents, businesses, and volunteers in our community for their support of this worthy cause,” concluded President Robert J. Peluso. For more information on the self-funded Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center please visit ParsippanyChamber.org or VisitParsippany.com
