Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Schools

The Parsippany Troy-Hills Township School District serves over 7,000 students daily through its ten (10) preK/K-grade 5 elementary schools; two (2) middle schools for grades six through eight; and two (2) comprehensive high schools for grades nine through twelve. The wealth of program offerings in the district is the direct result of a rigorous, ongoing, professional development program and involvement and commitment of the community that has been incorporated into the basic educational programs of the children of Parsippany-Troy Hills. In additional to our comprehensive educational programs offered to general education students, our district also takes great pride in its in-district offerings for special needs students, both serving disabled as well as accelerated learners.

Parsippany High School

Parsippany High School

The school serves approximately 987 students who live in the eastern half of Parsippany and are in grades nine through twelve. Its companion school in the District is Parsippany Hills High School, which serves the western portion of the Township. The school was the 104th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s September 2008 cover story on the state’s Top Public High Schools. In 2014, Parsippany High School ranked better than 61.2% of high schools in New Jersey. Racial makeup is: White (51.1%), Asian (31.3%), Hispanic (11.1%).

The school serves approximately 1,166 students who live in the western half of Parsippany and are in grades nine through twelve. The school was built in 1969. Its companion school in the District is Parsippany High School. The school was the 87th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s September 2008 cover story on the state’s Top Public High Schools. In 2014, Parsippany Hills High School ranked better than 80.8% of high schools in New Jersey. Racial makeup is: White (53.9%), Asian (31.5%), Hispanic (10.6%).

Brooklawn Middle School is a middle school with an attendance of approximately 950 sixth, seventh, and eighth graders are taught by 115 content and special area teachers. The school was built in 1965 and serves the western portion of Parsippany. Most of the students attend Parsippany Hills High School after completing eighth grade. Brooklawn Middle School received a new Media Center and several new classrooms, which opened in September 2008. In 2014, Brooklawn Middle School ranked better than 73.5% of middle schools in New Jersey. Racial makeup is: White (49.2%), Asian (36.4%), Hispanic (9.7%).

Central Middle School

Central Middle School is a middle school with an attendance of over 950 students in grades six, seven and eight. It is staffed with over 111 teachers and other educational professionals. The school was built in 1928 and serves the central portion of Parsippany. Most of the students attend Parsippany High School after completing eighth grade. In 2014, Central Middle School ranked better than 66.4% of middle schools in New Jersey. Racial makeup is: White (46.9%), Asian (35.1%), Hispanic (10.9%).

Eastlake Elementary School serves approximately 320 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Eastlake celebrates their students who come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Eastlake Elementary School is located at 40 Eba Road. The Eastlake PTA is a Parent Teacher Association where parents, teachers, administrators and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education, expand the arts, and encourage community involvement. The PTA is a service organization that provides money for field trips, cultural arts programs, family activities, and equipment for Eastlake’s students through fundraising. The PTA is involved in many programs that directly affect the educational experience of Eastlake’s children. In 2014, Eastlake Elementary School ranked better than 82% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked 5th among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.

Intervale Elementary School

Intervale Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school where staff and parents work together to provide a nurturing environment for all 265 students. The school’s diverse population provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about many different cultures, traditions and life styles. The Eagle Express is the school newspaper of Intervale School. The students write and edit their own stories. All students are welcome to submit stories, poems, pictures, puzzles and art work. In 2014, Intervale Elementary School ranked better than 85.7% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked 4th among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.

An exemplary staff of classroom teachers, specialists and support personnel are committed to delivering quality education to all students. Home of the Jaguers. Knollwood Elementary School is located at 445 Knoll Road, Lake Hiawatha. In 2014, Knollwood Elementary School ranked better than 79.6% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked 8th among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.

Lake Parsippany Elementary School

Lake Parsippany Elementary SchoolLake Parsippany Elementary School has a dedicated team of professionals to help educate 361 children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Lake Parsippany Elementary School is located at 225 Kingston Road. Lake Parsippany Elementary School is nestled between large oak and pine trees behind Kingston Road. The original building was built in 1949 as a 6 room schoolhouse. Two additions in 1955 and 1961 increased the size of the school to what it is today. In 2014, Lake Parsippany Elementary School ranked better than 64.3% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked last among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.

Littleton Elementary School

Littleton Elementary School Littleton Elementary School serves our community’s children by providing curriculum for 454 students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. Littleton Elementary School has a staff of 40 classroom teachers and specialists and 30 support staff.The original Littleton School, built in 1796, still stands in our township and is restored. Littleton Elementary School is located at 51 Brooklawn Drive. In 2014, Littleton Elementary School ranked better than 89.4% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked 2nd among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.

Mt. Tabor Elementary School

Mt. Tabor Elementary School The Parsippany Troy Hills Board of Education opened Mt. Tabor Elementary School in 1932. It served the educational needs of the children in the Mt. Tabor community until its closing in 1981 due to a dwindling student population. In September 1998, Mt. Tabor reopened its doors again to welcome the now increasing student population. In 2014, Mount Tabor Elementary School ranked better than 87.3% of elementary schools in New Jersey. It also ranked 3rd among 10 ranked elementary schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools District.
