Alex DeCroce, 75
Alex DeCroce passed away on Monday, January 9 at The State House in Trenton. Alex was born in Morristown and was a life long resident of Parsippany. He was a Realtor and Owner of Gallo & DeCroce ERA Realty Company, Parsippany. Alex became a New Jersey Legislator in the 26th Legislative District in the Assembly in 1989. He also has been the Republican Minority Leader since 2003. Alex was pre-deceased by his father Santino and his brother Gerry DeCroce. He is survived by his wife Betty Lou (nee-Bisson); his sons Paul Johannesen and his wife Jessica of Parsippany and Christopher Johannesen and his wife Erin of Succasunna; his daughters: Linda Correll of Parsippany and Christina Craig and her husband Steven of New York, New York.; his mother Theresa Petrozzi DeCroce; his brother Ronald and his sister Maryanne all of Parsippany; his eight cherished grandchildren: Connor, Damon, Julian, Noah Alexander, Richard, Tommy, Kayla, and Kristy; his three treasured great-grandchildren: Conner, Emily, and Jolee; and his loving dog Lulu. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Par Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road. Virginia L. Woods, 85
Virginia L. (nee-Fetzer) Woods passed away on Wednesday, January 4 at her brother’s home in Toms River. She was born in Morristown and grew up in Chatham Township before moving to Parsippany in 1955. Virginia was a loving and dedicated homemaker. She also was a factory worker for Madison Piston Rings in Madison for a few years and Monroe Calculating in Morristown for eight years. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Roger L. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Shirley Fetzer of Toms River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, January 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Par Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road. Cremation: Private.
Anna Marie Strumolo , 80
Anna Marie (nee-De John) Strumolo passed away on Tuesday, January 3 at Morristown Medical Center. She was born and raised in Newark. She lived in Orange before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1956. Anna was a loving and dedicated Homemaker. She was a founding member along with her family of Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany where she was an active member of the Rosary society. Anna was a County Committee Women for the Republican Party for over 30 years. She is predeceased by her sister, Phyllis S. De John. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John J. Sr.; her children: John J. Jr., Michael L. and his wife, Dorothy, Louis P. and his wife, Debbie, Candy Ocasio and her husband, Julio all of Lake Hiawatha; and her three grandsons: Joey, Louie, and Matthew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, January 6 at 8:30 a.m. from Par Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road. Alice J. Millar
Alice J. (nee-Donnelly) Millar, passed away on Thursday, December 29 at St. Clares Hospital, Denville. Alice was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She came to the United States in 1958 and lived in New York before moving to Parsippany in 1970. She was an Insurance Underwriter for Kemper Insurance in Summit for many years before retiring. She is survived by her beloved husband, William; her loving daughter Kelly A. Neglia and her husband James of Sparta; her dear sisters: Ann Douglas of Nottingham, England and Marie Corr of Belfast, Northern Ireland; and by her two cherished grandchildren: Emily and Jimmy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 3, 10:00 a.m. at St Christopher R.C. Church, 1050 Littleton Road. Jean C. Picorale, 83
Jean C. (nee-Farrell) Picorale passed away on Wednesday, December 21 at her home. She was born and raised in Jersey City. She lived in Madison for eight years before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1960. She was a Homemaker, but more importantly she was passionate about her children and grandchildren. She had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling, sometimes very spontaneously, and she also loved cooking and was also an avid gardener. Jean is predeceased by her husband, Frank J., and her daughter, Marianne. Survivors include her sons: Frank and his wife Barbara of Boonton, Edward and his wife Terry of Oak Ridge, and John and his wife Denise of Lake Hiawatha; her daughters: Donna Pasek and her husband Anthony of South Bound Brook, Betty Jean Reilly and her husband Shawn of Cave Creek, Az., and Karen Anderson and her husband Scott of Hilton Head, S.C.; her brother, William Farrell of Brick; her five cherished grandchildren: Brian, Lisa, Hunter, Colton, and Giovanni; and by her many nieces and nephews
