PARSIPPANY — Roscoe is a 4-month-old, 20 pound male pit mix was found in horrible conditions in Newark with lesions all over from flies eating at him.

He was emaciated and most likely kept in a yard. The good people at Newark-AHS found him and saved him. Now, Wise Animal Rescue (WAR) transferred this stunning puppy into their program to help him find his forever home. While his life started out horribly, he doesn’t let that affect how he lives his new life in his wonderful foster home!

Roscoe is super friendly and affectionate and even lives with young children! He is also good with other dogs. In his foster home, he is learning basic commands and is working on potty training and crate training. Roscoe will be 60-65 lbs. when full grown. His foster family can’t get over how sweet this puppy is even after enduring so much in his short life.

We can’t wait for this puppy to find the forever home he truly deserves. He’s the perfect example of a pit bull, forgiving and loving even when the cards were stacked against him.

WAR’s goal is to find the perfect family dynamic and place our dogs in a loving, safe and permanent home. All of our dogs available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.

The adoption process starts with filling an application, home visit, meet and greet and then finalizing with an adoption contract and fee.

Adoption fees range from about $200.00 to $500.00. These fees help defray costs of veterinary and foster care and are tax deductible.
