MORRIS COUNTY — Lissie is a black and white short haired pup who is a fun, energetic, sweet, smart, and sassy dog who just wants to be around you. She loves going for runs and hikes and is an excellent adventure buddy. As soon as she sees sneakers being put on she is ready to go.
Lissie is fully grown, around 50 pounds, a little over a year old, well house trained (rings a bell when she wants to go out. She went through puppy kindergarten so not only knows basic commands (sit, stay, come, lie down, roll over, shake, high five, spin, jump up and leave it) she also knows a few tricks. Being high energy she can be a handful for someone who does not put in the time to exercise her but is overall very well behaved, Lissie loves all people and dogs. Obviously being very energetic she at times has problems with jumping on all the exciting new people she meets, but knows she is supposed to sit and will settle down. She is very well behaved in the car and at the vet.
Lissie was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina last year and FHDR adopted her to a nice lady. Lissie had a great life, but due to her adopter’s financial situation she is no longer able to take care of Lissie as she deserves.
